Waiting List for 2 months at BB? What's going on?

So I had a superday at a BB....after a week, MD emailed me saying that they didn't have enough information yet so sit tight.....week later, emails me again and says to let him know if i have any exploding offers....which i didn't at that time....still haven't had contact after that with the MD....side note....got in contact with the CEO of their ibd and he said he'd try to do something for me....that's been about 3 weeks now and no word....and the person who got me the superday in the first place emails me recently and says HR has filled their quota...does that mean a definite "no." recently received an offer in consulting and emailed both MD and the CEO to inform them of the offer and figure out what my status is....thoughts?

I do not understand why this is so stupid. I would never let them know that I have an offer in another industry, but other than that I do not know what is wrong with that approach. If I had another IB offer, I probably would have done the same thing.

Curious to know what you guys think of offer from another "industry"... Is it okay if it's still within the finance industry? ie. if you got an offer from Commercial Banking or FP&A from a diff company, can you still let the IB firm know?

Or does it have to be strictly in the IB industry to consider it relevant?

How are you a certified user if you don't have a job?

"Look, you're my best friend, so don't take this the wrong way. In twenty years, if you're still livin' here, comin' over to my house to watch the Patriots games, still workin' construction, I'll fuckin' kill you. That's not a threat, that's a fact.

See, this is the problem with letting internships count. That kid 'turtles' put the star up after his freshman PWM internship.
I am permanently behind on PMs, it's not personal.

Nonetheless. Interning =/= certified. That simple.

On occasion you'll see people putting it up after their final SA and they sign to return. That makes more sense.

unfortunately, you might have been dinged, but as suggested reach out to them.

btw what location is this for?
