Weird Internship experience

Ive been working at a PE/I-banking internship at a midsized firm in NYC area. Although most of my internship class are seniors from top targets, I'm just a rising sophomore at a semi-target. I had been doing a good job and spoke on a call where the managing partner was listening and he personally called me asking me to stay on for the rest of the summer, (I was suppose to finish a few weeks early to go to California.) Which, was kind of strange imo.. Then things started getting weirder- I was transferred to work directly for one of the partners and I am now assigned crazy big roles (stuff no other interns are getting and most analysts wouldn't either). I frequently am told to run point on calls with other banks-??? literally when there are analysts on the line. On these calls, I don't say what my role at the firm is other than "I work under ____" but a few people who I have called have proceeded to add me on Linkedin where they can clearly see Im a intern- and a young one at that. My manager has now asked me to play golf x2, both of the times it was with a CLIENT?! thank god I can shoot a 45. Even HR has started not caring about how many hours I log.. I think I did a good job at the beginning of my internship, and Im probably one of the best interns in terms of accuracy, understanding, and speed. But this is just weird at this point- does anyone have a similar experience?

Yeah I got a job at a local boutique investment bank this summer, and I started off doing some pretty good work. Then, we were on a deal with GS, and the analyst I was working for got COVID, so I took a little more responsibility. GS took notice, and I started working for them. Now David Solomon has me working full time as the acting head of TMT, and I'm about to be announced as the next GS CEO. However, I don't know if I can take the job because the DNC also took note of the work I've been doing, and they're about to give me the nomination to run for president. I just had a call with Trump yesterday and he said he would likely drop out and endorse me if that's the case. Oh, and just for reference, I recently graduated high school, was set to attend a top target (W) until all this happened
