What are such groups called?

Groups in a bank that help companies raise equity, debt and hybrids. I understand that ECM/DCM come at a later stage where they play more of a "sales" role (marketing the new offering to funds / organising road shows etc / book building etc) while there's a group in banks that help in modelling / advising on what kind of capital to issue. Is there a particular name of this kind of group?

Thanks!

aren't coverage groups like "country coverage" / "industry coverage"

as opposed to products group that deal with M&A / DCM etc?

I am assuming that the group that i am talking about deals in all industries / all countries, so how would that be a coverage group?

Thanks!

membermember12345Could you be thinking of capital structure optimization groups? At a lot of BBs these are just called financial strategies groups within IBD.
i think that may be it, basically advising companies on the "appropriate" capital structure! Can you possibly provide me with links for some of these banks? Or tell me which banks have them and I will search?

Thanks very much for your help!!
