What could I specialize in as a CS + Econ major and what would be good activities to do as a freshman?

I’m going to be a freshman this fall at Brown University and it doesn’t offer finance as a major, so I’m planning to take econ. I also like CS though so I plan to take both. I’m currently leaning towards trying to be an investment banker but I’m not sure if I should do something else that includes CS more. I’m also wondering what I could do as a freshman and if an on-campus job could help my resume to maybe try and get an internship the summer before sophomore year if it’s even possible. Any recommendations and info would be greatly appreciated!

cs-econ is a good concentration at brown

idk what u mean by do something else that includes cs more ... but if i had to guess ... you will have enough space via the open curriculum to take many more cs classes regardless of your concentration

tbh take it one step at a time ... take principles of Econ with Kuo and see if its your groove ... if it's not you don't need Econ to get into ib from Brown

also there are important differences you should look into ... some people do an AB in Econ + AB in CS; AB in Econ + ScB in CS; or ScB in CS-Econ; there are different iterations and combinations which employers will not give a shit about BUT will mean a lot for u in terms of how many credits u need to graduate

idk of any on campus job at Brown that could possibly be impressive to a bank ... there are cool opportunities, they just are very removed from banking

Most kids who end up in ib yes do a freshman summer PE or IB experience, you get it through being diverse, calling your dad, calling your friend's dad, or being a hungry motherfucker who calls every Brown alum in existence including Orlando bravo. there's a probability distribution among those four options which I'll leave you the pleasure of finding out at college hill in the fall :)
