What the fuck is “US bank”?
I’m a few rounds into a quant interview with them. They claim to be the 5th largest bank in the US but nobody talks about them here and I’ve never heard of it before.
Is it worth it?

U.S. Bancorp used to be a good company, but believe me when I say, STAY AS FAR AWAY AS POSSIBLE
It’s a big retail bank
A quick google search would have confirmed to you that they are the 5th biggest bank by assets. No one talks about them here because this is an investment banking forum and they are mostly just a commercial bank.
In the Wikipedia section that says "products", one of the products listed was investment banking. So that's why I posted it on here. I guess that's not their main specialty?
Never heard of them doing anything in Investment Banking. They may have a couple of guys somewhere that call themselves investment bankers, but they are definitely not known for IB. Total assets isn't a good barometer for an investment bank though. Truist is in the top 10 for instance and no one would consider them anywhere close to a top 10 IB.
How are you a few rounds into a a process and not know anything about the bank
When they asked why I wanted to work there I just said the same boilerplate I use everywhere, and I mostly talked about my quant skills
Oh I didn’t see it’s you. Makes sense
Do some research bud
