I mean pretty much anything finance related is going to require modeling lol. Maybe not DCF / LBO, etc. but certainly financial forecasts, planning, etc. I don't see a way around this unless you do some buyside role where the entire job is sourcing (e.g. early stage VC, a few PE funds idk).

With that said, a large portion of my friends started off as Finance majors at Wharton, hated it with a passion, and have swapped to other jobs. I've seen:

-One went into product management at a startup (had to self-learn coding)

-One took a semester off to go to Horizons coding bootcamp and secured a Bloomberg job after

-One went into management consulting (still some excel work, but less than finance)

-One went into marketing at F500

-One said fuck America and went back to South Asia to start his own impact startup

-One went into sales at a medical device startup
