Besides the MBA programme, what is your current job scope? Consulting in your home country (i am making a guess here on that country, based on your description of your high-school and the lack of a certain Asian country in your question) may be hard, as it is just as competitive, if not more competitive, than IB. Perhaps your current/past job experience may give you some leeway but it's hard, especially if you are thinking of MBB.
Which area of finance? Find out specifically what you like/want to do, instead of making another brash decision and worry about it a few year later. Why did you reject the JPM research division?
