Many made the switch before finding out if they would or would not be accommodated at UBS. While UBS is a BB it isn’t trying to expand its IB division and the CS acquisition was obviously unanticipated so most CS heads jumped ship far before it even got to that point 

 


I assume you are talking about summer analysts. Summer MBA associates are totally screwed and more than 90% can’t get any ft positions in IB

 

My friend is an associate in IB at CS still, I heard it will be a fairly lengthy integration period so not sure when the official switch will happen. Not sure if they will still have CS as their company listed as their official title or if that will get switched to UBS. They had already decided who will be kept and who will not be shortly after the news, but that can change at any moment as we all know.
