"GS, MS: already had first rounds
JPM: already invited people for hirevues but everyone gets that
BAML: nothing except accelerated "diversity"
Barclays: nothing except accelerated "diversity"
DB: Nothing to my knowledge
CS: Nothing to my knowledge
UBS: no idea "

Had a first-round with UBS over the phone a couple days ago - they reached out to me after I got in touch with a school alum. I think that's the best way to go and I don't believe it's too late, but I'd get on it fast if you're interested.

Hey Any take on Duff and Phelps? The firm has progressed a lot in terms of revenue and geographical expansion. But it still doesn't enjoy an image of a proper wall street investment bank. I know they are focused mostly on valuation but how about M&A and Restructuring. Can anyone please tell how are D&P analysts being perceived by college grads in US, the PE employers, and other banks? Are they still considered a firm similar to Big 4 or have they earned IB BOUTIQUE, MM level status? Final year undergrad Singapore

I have a friend at Duff & Phelps M&A IB, and through him have met several of his analyst colleagues. All are bright, social, personable and smart kids, and I bet had they been on the "path" with internships and maybe better schools more early on, they could have ended up at better banks. A lot of the analysts come from non traditional backgrounds, meaning that several didn't even do an IB summer analyst program, but rather random irrelevant finance internships after their junior year. Seems like as long as your a smart kid, they will give you an interview. That being said, only a very small amount of rock stars have gone on to private equity. If you are doing Duff & Phelps, if you are even thinking about PE, not even middle market, but the most you should be thinking about is Lower Middle Market PE at the very most. A lot of the analyst end up floating around wall street banks trying to find a career position track at a BB, or just take the skills they earned from their analyst years and end up doing something different.

We're not lawyers. We're investment bankers. We didn't go to Harvard. We Went to Wharton!

are you non-target? DB seems to be having on-campus interviews for me and those don't start till end of september I believe. The timeline of early October would be consistent with this if superdays are the week after.
