Which EBs are ok with A to A? 2 or 3 year analyst programs?
Title. Curious about Evercore/PJT/Moelis/Lazard/Centerview/Qatalyst. Does it depend on which group you are for any of these firms? Do any force you to do a third analyst year?

EVR is 3 years technically but ppl get 2.5 years early promote
PJT doesn’t do A2A promote; very rare

RSSG doesn’t. They kick you out after 2 years; you have to be a rare exception to get A2A is what I’ve been told

Not sure about m&a.Friend works at RSSG and from what I’ve heard, even when a top analyst wanted A2A promotion, they had to convince the seniors for it

Im currently in a BB Rx group, looking to lateral to one of the top boutiques. In your opinion would it make more sense to target MOE/EVR/LAZ due to how PJT is structurally set up in RSSG?
