Funniest

yea let me just be a fucking monkey and not disclose any information that will help people advise me and just say top bb

People making posts like this getting EB and top BB offers is the biggest proof of IB brain drain

I'd personally take GS/MS over any EB but would take Evercore/CVP/PJT over JPM. Other EBs/BBs are personal preference. There is a clear preference for EBs on this website but we can't understate the name that GS/MS will give you.

Fuck the "extra responsibility" that EBs give you (the only real reason to take EB over BB is higher pay), if its GS/MS you should take it in a heart beat

1. GS Classics / Good MS Groups

2. CVP/EVR/PJT/MC/LAZ/PWP

3. Everything Else

would agree with this. obviously biased but one thing to note is that the "weaker" MS groups are only considered "weak" because the M&A team does the modeling. so even a "weak" group at MS is still gonna be #1/#2/#3 in the league tables so you still get good deal experience

Personal opinion but if we were to be granular with GS/MS groups, the groups in the tier 1 list would be the following:

1. GS TMT/FIG and the equivalent MS groups being M&A/TMT (Menlo for T and M&C in NY)

Drop

GS Industrials/CRG and the equivalent MS groups being Power/Sponsors/Transpo

Drop

GS HC

2. CVP/EVR/PJT/MC/LAZ/PWP

3. Everything Else

Not trying to sound obnoxious, but does it count as good deal experience for PE recruiting if the model was outsourced to M&A?

Not sure how you came to this ranking but from a fee generation standpoint TMT and HC lead the Gs classic groups. Bonus pools at the junior level are standardized across groups but these two groups drag the others up. It’s very difficult to get to this level of granularity and frankly it’s borderline misinformation.
