White solid fill in model?
I've seen some variance in this. Let cells be cells, or white solid fill the workbook?

Take the grid lines off for the love of god. I used to be skeptical, but can't even turn back now after seeing how nice an excel file looks without grids. I usually do this after I've built out everything btw, not from the very beginning.

White solid fill slows a workbook down a lot. No fill and remove the gridlines.
Same thing works if I’m doing conditional formatting for a lot of data. I’ll make the rule in one cell and then copy paste formats to the cells at the very end. You’ll see a big difference in the larger books vs smaller
grids stay out. period

Well that's one fast solution. Does the setting hold for when you share with others?
Oh man, I didn't know you were actually white solid filling the entire workbook. No worries, yes alt w v g is the right way to do it. This points to how sometimes in banking when you learn things on your own, you end up learning the wrong way and then you carry that with you for potentially a long time. Definitely happened to me too.
To answer your question, it does save that when you share with others / when you open the workbook again.
