Will computer science major and finance minor suffice?

Title says it all. I made a thread a few weeks ago, asking a question similar to this one. However, people got the impression that I was looking to be a quant.

Will I be able to break into investment banking with a computer science major and finance minor.

i'm sure it's possible - and probably not something that will put you at a disadvantage at all - but is there a reason you don't reverse the major and minor? are you a comp sci major because you're really interested in it? if that's the case, maybe ibd isn't the best career choice for you. if not, why not just major in finance?

in terms of how interviewers will see you, i think you will have to consciously steer people away from thinking you want to be a quant just because it looks like that's what your major is setting you up to be.

Remember, once you're inside you're on your own. Oh, you mean I can't count on you? No. Good!
