Depends who interviews you. As a general rule, if you can’t walk through the 3 statements and explain your way through an LBO and DCF, you will have a bad time interviewing at any bank. That said, most candidates are worse at explaining why they want the job/ they lack an understanding of what the job is and how the firm is different. Behaviorals and attitude are the reason most people don’t move on in the process not technicals.
