Williams vs Middlebury (H1B)

Does the prestige of an university play a role for international students in obtaining an H1B visa?

I am an international student planning to apply for Early Decision at either Williams or Middlebury. I want to go into IB after graduation. Will it be significantly more challenging to find a job that is willing to sponsor an H1B visa if I graduate from Middlebury compared to Williams?

I have a higher likelihood of being admitted to Middlebury if I apply through the Early Decision process, and I don't want to jeopardize that opportunity by applying to Williams (I am pessimistic that I will get in). However, if it it will be much harder to find a job in US after graduating from Middlebury as it is less prestigious, I am willing to take the risk and apply for Early Decision to Williams.

ED to Williams, it's a better school. H1B isn't influenced by the school, so just ED to Williams/Amherst over Midd if you want finance and NESCAC. Midd is the clear 3rd best NESCAC placement behind Williams/Amherst.

I'm not sure if I'm competent enough for Williams. I don't want to risk wasting my Early Decision and then not getting accepted to Middlebury in the Regular Decision round, but I guess it's worth the risk?

What makes you say this? The kids at the top LACs are largely similar and it's kinda of luck based on these types of colleges. It's possible to get into Williams and not Middlebury and vice-versa. Also, why do you want to go to an LAC given the finance background? That's super rare for LACs, usually finance placements are people who switched into finance from something else, just curious why you would want to come to a LAC
