dont think it'll work honestly. Way too niche.

if im a consumer, id just go wherever there are the most users (potential matches) rather than a finance specific one, unless you prove out there is a market demand for people who want to date finance ppl specifically (which imo there isnt really any demand but im just guessing)

Think bigger. Would make more sense to make some sort of larger social hub for finance people and it could be relevant to those not in the industry with some educational / entertainment element (could restrict certain features to those confirmed in the industry via work email like fishbowl). If you want to make this app to build a matching product then fine, but startups are meant to be large businesses that serve increasing amounts of customers over time - there is simply a clear ceiling on finance professionals , let alone those who are in the market to date other finance professionals, and this is not something anyone is willing to pay $50+ for as you will have to make this work by insane pricing.

This wouldn't work for a couple of reasons:

1.) The gender disparity in IB/PE (way more men to women in comparison to other industries)

2.) The industry is pretty small relatively (I don't want to match with someone/swipe on that I'd be working with/encounter)

3.) The League pretty much fills the niche of a dating app for professionals in high paying jobs

More importantly, you're not my mom's favorite analyst..... my brother is :(

Have you tried asking HR at your bank to put on more social events? Alternatively if you don’t like the women at your bank have you tried lateraling to a bank with women you like more?
