Yay or Nay

So I got first round interviews with Wells Fargo through OCR and I just found out that they don't hire international students (Myself being an international student). Interview is set this Wednesday and dinner reception is tomorrow. Formal cancellation for the interview is midnight tonight.

Should I

A) be a badass and go to the reception + interview and try to pull it off--knowing that I will not get the offer regardless of outcome.

B) Send in the formal cancellation by midnight tonight.

If I go, I know there's going to be a lot of antagonism after they find out I'm an international (Prob within first 3min). Yet, it's for that very reason why I want to go. Then again, I feel it's not professional and I don't want to piss of my school or the interviewing firm.

Do the right thing and cancel. There's some kid on the waiting list right now, some kid you go to school with, might be friends with, might have classes with, who's going to be ecstatic to get to interview in your place, and might get an offer. If there's no chance of an offer for you, which there's not if they won't go through the visa process for you, why would you prevent someone else who has a shot from interviewing just because you can? That's kinda fucked up. Anyways, even from a selfish perspective it's best if you withdraw - having more candidates with a chance of getting hired interviewing from your school raises the value of your degree and strengthens your alumni network, which will help you in the long run.

More than 1 person is on a wait list... believe me, they'll interview someone in your place. Don't be an asshole and torpedo that for no reason, it could end up changing that person's life.

Fck That!!! GO! What the hell do you have to lose? NOTHING! So what; they "don't" hire international students - cross that bridge when you get there. If anything, you make a few connections at the dinner and get some more experience interviewing. Fck the kids on the waiting list, you worked harder than them to get the interview - take full advantage of it. That's where I stand.
