1 month since third interview. Do I dare follow up again?

so had an three interviews with sell side ER. There was typically a two week wait after each round. Had a basic "meet the analyst/associate and the team" interview, another meet the head of research and then lastly the excel/writing test. All went really well. I was informed that the hiring was moved from end of September to something a "bit forward".

Now it's been a month since my last round. I had sent a follow up email at one week and two week mark. Radio silence on once, second one I got a reply a day late saying that the process is going on and that I will get an update "when appropriate"... Like dude you are killing me here!!!

NOW THE QUESTION IS.. do I dare follow up again after a month. I really want this job and i thought everything had gone so well! I even gave them the benefit of doubt that last week was earning week and this week the elections were going on.. but I am dying to whether I am in or out of this. :'(

Here is a story:

I had four rounds of interviews and then suddenly stoped hearing from the company for over 3 weeks. This was strange because they were in touch pretty much every other day and seemed very caring.

I called them. No response. I emailed all those in touch and also the interviewer complementing how they were really nice and responsive. I have also complemented and thanked the interviewer for her time. She wrote back 3 days later and told me they really liked me and reviewed my application again, but could not move forward as the place had been filled.

I wrote back to her, asking if she would be available for a call for me to understand and learn any improvements necessary so I'm equipped from this time on...

Fast forward 2 years... I'm working at this place.
