2012 Grad with 1 year exp. - can I still apply for analyst program?

Hi all,

I graduated from college in 2012 and worked in a corporate finance related consulting role for a year. Now I would like to change to banking and wonder if I am allowed to apply for new analyst programs in the banks?

I do not mind starting from the beginning, and have even considered doing an off cycle internship first. Do you guys think I will be given interviews?

I spoke to a few friends and they all said that I am too junior to be applying as an "experienced hire". And headhunters are not helpful for junior placements.
