A-level grade as a master's-level applicant
As a master's-level student applying for summer internships, would it hurt my chances of getting an interview if I do not mention my sixth form education or A-level on my CV due to space constraints? I only fill in the A-level/sixth form equivalent grades on the online application form but not usually on the CV
Was in a similar position, only filled in high school grades on the application portal and never had them on my CV. Ended up with plenty of interviews and offers so you should be fine.
The interviews and offers you got, were they in UK or America?
Interviews and offers were UK-based roles. Had some US-based interviews as well.
I'll appreciate suggestions for improvement in content & formatting.
do you think it is a good idea to move the work experience to the top and move education to a lower part of the CV in order to make my banking experience the first thing that is seen on the CV? Or is it safer to stick to the conventional format of listing the education first (could deviating from the usual format get my CV discarded)?
Typically would say education first if you're still in university - move professional to the top when you're in full-time.
In line with the above I'd say we typically don't place much weight on A-level grades. There may always be an HR team that applies certain filters, particularly in the US, but there's quite a bit of inconsistency in format (e.g. A-levels versus IB) so it doesn't usually factor in
