Accept some offers/wait for more or hitch-hike to Alaska? Serious.

I'm a sophomore @ Stern and started getting into the recruitment grinder pretty late, and at this point have pretty much nothing major lined up for summer 2022. I'm entertaining a few offers, mainly financial services/asset managers, and I'm well in the process for a few other firms/institutions (the Fed among them), but I hear anecdotally that what you do as a sophomore doesn't matter too much, and since this may be my last chance for a while to backpack & climb, things I enjoy deeply, I'm considering dropping it all in favor of hitch hiking to Alaska, especially since I have a decent spring gig and potential fall 2022 gig. I simply do not know what to do, and I lurk on here a lot, so I figured what the hell. Might as well ask you guys.

I'm not, like, some ditz willing to throw it all away and live in the mtns. I've wanted to go into finance since high school. I just think that, if this will be my last summer as a potentially free man for who knows how long...why not take it?

thanks.

Do Alaska. I can't promise it won't impact your junior summer recruiting a bit, but if you fill in a spring and fall internship it's going to be ok. However if you don't go on your big trip, you may regret not going forever. You'll have an interesting story to tell at least.

Be excellent to each other, and party on, dudes.
