After negotiating with a bank, I accepted an offer to switch.
I started working and realized that the job was not what I had been told, then when the contract arrived for signing, they had changed many benefits/compensation that I had in my offer letter and that I negotiated with HR.
I want to leave, I am already in the interview process with two banks, but on my CV/Linkedin and in interviews I still say I work at my previous job, I don't want to mention that I switched and got screwed over.
What do I do?
What if I have to say it eventually?
I don't want to lie but I feel like if they know I spent 1 month at another job, it's going to be dealbreaker, regardless of my reasons being correct.
Background check. It’s going to happen. If you say you work at company A still, but you left in June to go to company B, when they ask company A your employment history, you’re going to have a hard time explaining why you say you still work there but are listed as no longer employed since June.
If your new job at company B doesn’t require FINRA exams, you might be able to say you quit or got fired and have taken some time off before recruiting again. Otherwise, you’ll need to explain the situation
