Advice for incoming soph SA

There's almost a year before I start my internship at corporate banking BB next year and I've really enjoyed my interview conversations with two of the MDs. 

We've exchanged emails/calls and both congratulated me for the offer. Maybe around winter this year, should I email them saying along the lines of "any advice on preparing for the internship? and giving them updates on what im up to e.g. reading, internships, school, etc."

Just want to keep the relationship continuous as its a long time before I start next summer.
