Any Recruiting Advice Appreciated
Hey all, new to the forum and thought I'd reach out for some advice.
I'm currently at a semi-target and am looking to break into IB. Before I pursue a BB or boutique internship for the summer, I really want to get some experience in the fall at a regional boutique. I'm currently contacting alumni and emailing any other contacts I can find.
My questions
Is it a bad idea to reach out directly to MDs and associates of these regional boutiques via cold email with no prior connection?
How do I emphasize in cold emails that I'm really just looking to gain any sort of experience whatsoever? Moreover, I'm totally fine with an externship/unpaid work. Or should I not have this focus?
Any other advice is appreciated. Thanks!
