Anyone have a background check stall past initial start date?
Hey, have a set start date at BB and background is lagging weeks in, so looking like start date will have to be pushed. Neither hiring manager nor recruiter can determine hold up or fast track or even get a timeline though. Wondering if anyone else has gone through this and if I should start looking at other options just in case.

My background check stalls almost every single time, reason: I have lived and worked in multiple countries or reside in multiple countries at the same time. This takes a lot more effort as the other federal agencies have to respond, then there is data protection, ...
They normally allow me to start the job under the restriction that my employment will end if any of the checks come back negative/can't be explained.
