are externships worth it?

Hi, I am a high school senior with time to kill, and I found this website called Extern (formerly Paragon One), and it offers "externships" which are actually glorified courses.

They seem to be offered by legit companies and i see college students putting some on their linked in. The one im doing is the Arc70 Capital Real Estate Finance and Valuation, but there are others. For example, HP Tech ventures has one (large tech company's venture capital arm).

I've seen some people hate on it and others say that recruiters cant tell the difference.

I was wondering if any of you had any experience with this kind of thing and if it is worth it?

Already got into a target and aiming for ib/high finance
