Asking to “switch” job offer/candidacy?
recently received an associate offer for a corporate credit risk role at a top bank. However, after further consideration of the position, I don’t really know if I want to pursue a long term career in corporate credit risk and feel like this offer isn’t really better than my current job (Corporate Banking Analyst at a Tier 2/3 bank).
However, I’m very interested in working at that top bank and that bank just recently posted a different but somewhat related job position (Credit Research junior analyst) that aligns more closely with my long term interests and skill sets.
How likely would the top bank allow me to “switch” my job offer/consideration from a Corporate Credit Risk Associate to a Credit Research Junior Analyst? I don’t mind if I have to do a few additional interviews for the new team and position.
Thanks
