At the crossroads and would appreciate advice

Hello everyone, I am a college student (just finished my first year) and I'm struggling to figure out what to do. All my life I thought I would be a doctor and I even wrote that in my elementary school yearbook but now I'm not so sure this is an option for me anymore due to a family situation. I do not think it will be possible for me to have the time and money to get through med school, residency, and everything else required to become a full doctor

Even before I was consciously aware that med school may not be for me, I had been interested in finance and was involved in a finance club, then later the equity research club, but now I think this might be the best career path for me.

I am currently at a non-target school ranked around 50 with a 3.6 GPA majoring in Biochemistry and minoring in math and physics. I scored well on the SAT and ACT in high school but it doesn't seem like they will matter much at this stage. I'm looking potentially to transfer though my GPA isn't particularly high and transfer admissions to target schools is rather low. I will likely apply to transfer in the coming year (If you guys have schools you'd recommend I'd appreciate it)

In terms of what I could be doing to become a more attractive candidate for internships, I have been using asimplemodel to try to get down the basics of modeling, but is there anything you guys would recommend in terms of actually being able to land interviews? I don't have many connections even within my own school since I was a remote student this year and am not a finance or business student so I would appreciate any tips!
