BB Lateral - Non-NYC

So I currently work in a RX group and am looking at lateral options to go more traditional IB at aBB. I've done a significant amount of networking and found that there aren't very many seats open right now.

I am in process with a BB in Chicago (JPM/Citi) doing Industrials and a BB Healthcare group in SF (JPM/DB). What are the pros/cons? How would each look in recruiting?

Disclaimer that I'm not in IB(as you can see at my signature), but I've also heard pretty widely that nobody cares. Deal Experience > Brand name > Location.

Any hit won't be because of your brand name but because you aren't in NYC to have coffee chats with network contacts who work in PE.

Ya. That's definitely a concen... given how many analysts go through recruiting every year it's a game of not giving people a reason to ding you.... being a plane flight away is a dingable reason when you have a city full of analysts at your front door
