Big 4 to Hedge Fund Accounting
Hey all,
I am a senior in Big 4 with 2 years experience looking to leave public accounting. Gotten a couple offers for hedge fund accounting roles/financial reporting but not sure if I should take one.
I'm not looking to get out of public accounting for an increase in pay or fewer hours, it's more about doing something that actually is interesting and challenging and can lead me to that MBA/front office role.
Would it be better to stick it out a few more years or would having this financial reporting role at a top hedge fund be better to open the door to more opportunities? I'm currently studying for the CFA and currently a CPA.
Thanks.
