BIG4 Deal Advisory Cover Letter - Crush it

Ok guys, so I am currently applying for a position and need honest opinions. Go fot it!

To whom it may concern,

I would like to express my interest in obtaining a (Junior) Consultant position with XXXXXX in XXXXXX. I became very interested in the position after speaking to XXXXXX, an XXXXX who spoke highly of your results-driven culture. I am primarily interested in deal advisory, which I believe is a good fit given my preference for working in high-pressure environments and interacting with people.

While employed as a working student at XXXXXX I had to interact with various departments on a daily basis and learned to deliver results in these very environments. At my previous internship at XXXXXX I was able to hone my analytical and quantitative skills. One of the projects I undertook was an analysis of complex financial data in order to forecast the client’s amortization period. The results helped to relocate the investment. Hence, I believe the deal advisory division will be a particularly good fit for me within the advisory space.

As an undergraduate, I was involved in various academic and extracurricular activities where I have developed skills that have prepared me for such roles. For instance, I was involved in a diverse group project developing a case study, XXXXXXXX, for XXXXXX. In addition, an excellently completed workshop in cooperation with XXXXX gave me insights into current financial start-ups and their regulations.

I am an avid follower of the equity markets and am deeply interested in macro news and industry-specific events. I am also open to other desks, such as Financial Services. Additionally, I believe my background in sales in combination with finance will be useful for a position within the business unit. Finally, my ability to quickly digest knowledge as well as my interpersonal skills will enable me to provide differentiated service to clients, and thus contribute to XXXXX in different roles according to the firm's needs.

Thank you for your kind consideration and I look forward to an opportunity for an interview with you soon.
