Blackstone Strategic Partners SA Interview

I am interviewing for a SA position with Blackstone Strategic Partners for their flagship secondary PE fund. I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts about the division or any advice about preparing for the interview. Thanks!

The only thing they really got going for them is the BX name. Exit ops are limited to FOF's or other secondary shops. A lot better to go into EB/BB IB or MF PE instead.

Interviewers are pretty straightforward, nowhere near as technical as PE/Tac Opps. Understand how to value a portfolio of secondaries and have some thoughts on the market today.

I had this question also. It seems Bx SP does secondary PEs (growing), coinvesting, and one gets to work directly with MDs at BB PE clients. I am told that they do essentially the same modeling as BB IB and in some sense do more deals in general than direct PE. Could someone elaborate on this? Do they exit to top MBA programs and other direct PE firms? What other exits are there? What would be the pros and cons of doing the SA program at Bx in SP? Thx

I also had a first round interview for this position. Has anyone heard back after their first round? Had mine 2 weeks ago and still haven't heard...
