Boutique IB internship or US Bank Commercial Real Estate Program?

Hi everyone! I recently got an offer to do an IB internship that would start in the spring with the option to continue through the summer. Yesterday, I got an offer from US Bank to participate in their Commercial Real Estate program with a decision needed by the end of the week. I am now debating if I should do the IB internship in the spring only and do the US Bank internship during the summer, as opposed to sticking with the IB internship through the summer. IB is more of what I would want to do, but I honestly don't know much about commercial real estate and would be open to exploring that niche of finance as well through this internship. Just based off institution name alone, doing the US Bank internship would be more beneficial in the long-run over the boutique bank. Salary is also a big factor in making my decision, and doing the US Bank internship would pay about 3x more for the summer. However, I know doing IB would be more beneficial in the long-run, and I would love any advice on if I should do the US Bank internship and the IB internship only in the spring, or if I should focus only on getting as much IB experience as possible and continue that internship through the summer. Thanks in advance!

My opinion, since you said that IB is more of what you want to do, is that you should go with the IB internship. It signals for future interviewers that you have some experience and demonstrable interest in the field. Also you get to build some continuity at the firm and would likely get to see a deal from start to finish since you'd be there for the spring and summer. If you can manage the lesser salary, especially if it's just for some pocket money, IB all the way.
