Career advice for someone that feels stuck
So I graduated in May from a non-target University with a Major in Finance and a Minor in Economics with a 3.35 GPA. I switched my major after the spring of my Sophomore year so I had no idea what I wanted to do in Finance I just knew I wanted to do something in the industry (previously a marketing major). So fast forward a year and I decide I want to get into Wealth Management. My junior summer I worked at a small Financial Advising firm in Philadelphia (was more estate and tax planning than anything) and they offered my a job which I declined for a few reasons. I received an offer from a small Management Consulting firm in Philadelphia and have been working here since June.
I know this is not where I want to be. I gave up on searching for a Wealth Management job as soon as I saw the salary for this job and I know that was a mistake. I'm looking for any advice on how to get into HNW WM, particularly in NY. I feel as though the more time passes and the longer I've been away from my finance internship, the less qualified I look. I've been networking with individuals but it seems like many places require the 7 prior to applying.
