CFA lvl 1 for resume (internships)
I'm getting my Finance B.S, but at a non-target. 4.0 right now. I'll be a junior by in October 2019. I'm considering registering next month for the June 2019 CFA lvl 1 exam. I'd get the Schweser Study guides this December and work my ass off until the exam. I know I need to distinguish myself for junior year internships, since my target fields are hedge funds, asset management, equity research, and trading (in that order). The way I figure it, I can be more competitive by having a high GPA, plus a pass of the lvl 1 exam. Is there any reason I shouldn't do this? Worth it?
