I had something similar happen to me once. It was a non-target LMM bank outside of NYC, and the associate pulled the same move. This was for a sophomore internship, and I was like, seriously? If I had the money to throw around, I wouldn’t be going to a non-target school!

That said, if it’s like $10 or something, I can see someone doing it to filter people out—that's basically the cost of coffee, so I’d be more open to it. But not for some ridiculous $300 package like this guy was asking for. I’d rather pay for a reputable service like WSO academy if I wanted something like that.

Ps: As hilarious as this is, maybe remove it or modify it to be more anon. Won't be too hard to figure out who you are if the associate reads this? And if it is an EB, not worth burning the bridge.
