Consulting - Applying for consulting
I was wondering what you guys thought of applying for consulting as a way of "hedging" against not getting a SA position in banking?
There are a few positions on my OCR website and i feel it could be a summer better spent than doing... nothing. Does consulting require preparing for the interview in a similar way as I would for IB or if I'll have to prepare another ~400 questions?

Why not? Might as well apply for everything you can, if anything the interview practice will help you in the future. When I was applying for full-time, I would go through the corporate finance interviews we had on our campus just for the interview experience. Real interviewing beats mock interviewing 100% of the time.
What kind of consulting? Management? IT? Forestry? Construction? Horse breeding?
