could anyone give advice on how to network/write a networking email?

Im currently a rising sophomore, and I wanted to start networking with people in the finance order to learn more about the industry and increase the chance of getting a internship. the main problem I'm running into is that I don't know how to properly write a networking email. besides asking how they got to their position, what other questions should I include in the email or ask if I had a phone call with them? would It be a good idea to use a online template or personalize them? my goal is to work in corp finance (and if by some miracle UBS), but I realize I have to network everywhere in order to find a internship and get experience, so if anyone is willing to help me it would be greatly appreciated.
