CRE Brokerage or FDD

Hello everyone,

I have received two offers which are quite different.

CRE is interesting and might be more client oriented and entrepreneurial but on the other hand, I am afraid to get pigeonholed for the rest of my life and no longer be able to go join traditional finance if I have regrets.

Regarding FDD, analyzing companies or potentials deals might be more interesting, more various, especially in the longer term with better potential career outcomes (but I am more into finance than accounting, which kind of triggers me.

Pay with FDD is not awesome (might be better in CRE, especially within a strong team) but after a few years a strong MBA could help with pivoting into a better position.

Also I read some contributors saying how FDD is boring. My character is a bit entrepreneurial,  I a deal junky and I am afraid to stay in a position where my energy will be drained. CRE is maybe much more dynamic in that regard.

And in case I join FDD, I am not looking to transition to a company for a controlling or FP&A position, like ever.

Looking for some advice...Thanks!
