CS Major recruiting for Finance

CS and Math Student at a T20 school w a 3.7 GPA, also minoring in business. Current sophomore lined up for a data science/swe type of internship this upcoming summer, but I really do want to work in finance just wasn't able to land anything for my sophomore year. Is it possible if I network with alum, learn the technicals/financial modelling, and get involved with finance via school opportunities like investment funds and case comps, that I could recruit for HF/PE, which is already hard, or even S&T/Consulting and maybe even IB? I kinda gave up on quant since I'm smart but not that smart, and really don't think I would enjoy the SWE lifestyle, and besides the job markets fried.
