current PE analyst w/low gpa looking to jump to associate job?

Hello, I'm currently a PE analyst for a institutional investor. I got very lucky getting into my current position with a low GPA. I'm currently starting to look for a new position and was trying to see if I can actually get into a PE fund as an associate. I was wondering if my experience would outweigh my low GPA. Any thoughts and opinions would be greatly appreciated and thank you in advance to those who answer or chime in.
