Decentralization of finance jobs in tech due to the pandemic?
Hi All, For those who have finance-related jobs in the tech industry (FP&A, Corp Dev, Investor Relations, Investment Management, Treasury, Corporate Venture Capital), are you seeing your employers becoming more open to remote workers for finance roles?
I'm in the Philly area and want to make a transition from healthcare to tech (staying in the area to be close to family). Unfortunately, the closest thing to “big tech” with a significant presence in Philly is Comcast (which does have some good momentum with Peacock and the G4 relaunch).
I plan on upskilling (Power BI, Alteryx, probably other software) and networking with grad school alums at my target companies so that isn't an issue. I'm just not sure if the actual opportunities will be there.
Thank you in advance! :)
