Defunct PE fund (How to explain?)

A few months ago, I left my Associate role at a small PE fund which was in the process of fund raising. My reasons for leaving were personal. I recently learnt that one of the main partners left the firm and the fundraising as a result floundered. There is barely any trace of the team anymore on the internet. I am still hunting for a job but it seems as if my team no longer exists. Will this negatively impact my job hunt? I am worried it'll give the impression that i was working at a shitty pe fund...if so, how do i mitigate this as i still want to pursue PE as a long-term career. pls advise. Thanks
