Developer role background check with arrest record

Hi I'm actually from computer science background and will start my job as software developer at a well-known financial service company at New York City.

I'm worried about my background check, because I'm recently involved with a quarrel with my spouse and got arrested, but released quickly with disposition "No Complaint Filed", so I'm not charged. And even though my role is pure technical, I don't know if financial institution could be quite strict on background check, that arrest without conviction will lead to revoking the offer. Not to mention my goal in future is to become financial developer or even quant in this industry.

However I also see laws that it seems it's illegal for employers to use arrest without conviction to make hiring decision when conducting background check, at least in NYC. But again, since this is financial service company, I'm not sure if they'll have additional requirement.

Me and my spouse are in very good relationship, and we both feel really regretful this would happen, and all these potential cascading impact on my future career and life. So anyone in financial industry may give any suggestion? Many thanks!
