Did I eff up?

So I reached out to the CIO (cold emailed) of a small but legit HF last week looking to move over since I'm tired of being a credit sales bitch. He emailed me back yesterday morning telling me to call him at the office. Not wanting to get into a deadly circle of phone tag, I replied to the email asking when was convenient. I waited a day and then called anyways this afternoon but got his voicemail. I made the stupid mistake of leaving a VM, and it was a pretty crappy voicemail at that. He hasn't returned the call yet but was wondering how long to wait before trying to reach out again...obviously I need to salvage the situation since I've already dug myself a hole. I know this is really overanalyzing but given the current environment I don't want to squander any hint of a chance at moving over.

So I ended up finally getting through to him and I guess I passed his test enough (asked me about some trades I would make; he agreed with most) that he said I should make a time to meet at his office during next week (presumably since things are slow Thanksgiving week). I sent him an email last Monday and again haven't gotten a response yet..wtf is with this guy?!?!

I mean, I know that nobody here really knows what's going on but I guess I'm just looking for some moral support or an anecdote from someone else about a similar situation that worked out positively.
