Do banks check on GPA even if it’s not a fresh out of uni position?

My GPA is just average (like 78,80/100) from a non target and I still managed to land a valuation job at a Big 4 a month after graduation.
I’m very motivated and do a lot of extra curriculum (CFA, FMVA, Mandarin proficiency - not that it’s related to finance but it demonstrates a certain ability I’d say).

I’m planning on eventually transfer into higher finance and wondering if even with a demonstrated financial knowledge/experience my basic higher education might be an obstacle?

Thanks!
