Do companies blacklist?

Two scenarios:

  1. Signing an offer then calling them back a few months later to tell them you decided to go to another company (I heard it can be sugar coated by saying something like I decided to go to graduate/law school)
  2. Receiving an offer but kindly rejecting w/o signing within the two week period they give you to decide

If I ever, in the far future, wanted to work for those companies, would I be blacklisted?

Short answer: no. If your experience improves or someone else likes your resume down the line - things could work out.

It could make it a quick "no" in the future if the resume is that awful though

Or even if you got barely rejected and somebody else reneged. Happens to some folks.

I am blacklisted at almost every firm everywhere.

congrats, that's quite an accomplishment!

Well, I was worth over $1 billion at one point, was named CEO of the year, and made over $70 million in one year. So, honestly, getting blacklisted everywhere is just another feather in my cap. They don't blacklist nobodies and I've been blacklisted every place imaginable. I have something more important than money now: Power.
