Do Courses and Certs matter?

So I have as bunch of udemy courses, linkedin learning, etc. that I wanted to do so I learn some useful stuff and look different when searching a for internship but I gotta ask, would recruiters even care about any of that stuff, like if I complete gridline's financial modeling course, akuna capital options 101,some finance udemy courses, python courses and some excel courses from linkedin, would that even look good?

Never pointless to learn new skills in general. In terms of recruiting, having that stuff on your resume would check the “is he/she actually interested in finance” box, but providing an actual advantage is slim to none.

Knowing Python would be the most differentiating skill, but still wouldn’t push the needle much if you’re aiming for IB.

Not really aiming for IB(for now) since I literally have no  internship experience right now, the thing I would be pushing for is a basic or mid tier finance internship to get some experience and network. I've also gotten a position in GTSF Investments Committee and a basic finance role for a club I like, but really,I just want something at least

It won’t hurt you adding it to your resume, just more than likely to get overlooked. Focus more on networking, getting good grades, and getting involved in finance related clubs on campus.
