Do headhunters typically confirm receipt

I submitted my name and resume for a role with a head hunter around 2:30 AM last night. Realize this may have been a tactual error as it could get lost in their inbox. (i) Do HH's typically confirm receipt of a submission or does it just sit in the ether, and (ii)  is it appropriate to follow up to confirm that my email has been seen?

Thank you to responding monkeys.

Agree with the above and unless you personally know the HH, it's fairly unlikely that they'll confirm receipt (particularly at the junior level where recruitment is much more light touch and a volume game). Even if they review your application they may never respond (I'm not saying this is right, but it's notoriously common in recruitment at the junior level)
