Does a top b school actually help your PE career in the short term

I am interested in having a career in PE/investing. Does having a top MBA (H/S) actually unlock more opportunities? I know it’s a great life experience, and maybe at 45-50 it’ll help in some ways, but in your early 30s does it help?
